AKB48’s 41st Single – Halloween Night

Midnight Boogie Night~~~ This song is so catchy. I feel like I’ve been transported to my parents’ era. Seriously whenever I play it I have to dance.  At first, I was a little WTF at a Halloween theme in the summer, but apparently Japan is into that! The PV is fun: my favorite parts are Sayaka Jackson and when a few members do MC Hammer moves. I’ve enjoyed every AKB48 A-side for the past year (KNP to HN) so I have some high expectations for the next single!

Under Girls — Sayanora Surfboard (“Goodbye Surfboard”)

Haruppi (HKT48’s Kodama Haruka) missed the coveted senbatsu by one spot, therefore she became the center for this Under Girls song. The song is mellow and nothing special. But I do like the PV: it’s creative with all the Instagram posts.

Next Girls — Mizu no Naka no Dendouritsu (“Conductivity in the water”)

*nosebleed* For obvious reasons, NG PV is my favorite b-side PV for this single. Sexy girls kissing and touching in the water omg. The sexyness and gayness is like Ambulance 2.0 (b-side from Kibouteki Refrain single).

Future Girls — Kimi ni Wedding Dress wo… (“You in a wedding dress”)

Weddings aren’t my thing, but the PV was well-thought. The transition between scenes were cute (chapter 4: waiting room, etc). Everyone looked beautiful in their dresses. The song is okay.

Upcoming Girls — Kimi Dake ga Akimeiteita

Ehh.

Ippome Ondo

Not my kind of song. The members looked lovely in their yukatas though.
