how did this happen?

well let’s go down a trip of memory lane:

• around june-going-into july of this year (2014): was finishing up ne-mouse season 3. the koji/sae ‘scandal’ in the first episode was !!! she was all smile-y in the animal handshake episodes and was like ‘cute’. the camp episodes made me notice saeyaka as a ship and i felt a little emotional with her reading the letter to sayaka ;u;
• members tend to fawn over her (anyone who is noticed by others gets my attention like when ikoma fawned over wakasama that’s how i started liking wakatsuki more).
• saw her a bit in the No Rain, No Flower documentary and the To Be Continued documentary too
• akbingo danso – how to wake up your girlfriend u//u and looking through JPHIP FORUM danso thread (she was there a lot hehe) and then watching the akbingo danso episodes omg
• saw some of the double heroine musical. got more into saeyaka hehehheeh
• got into ske48 because hey she’s a concurrent member! omg at her bf scene with milky n//n

in short: sae is freaking awesome and cool and hot but boyish and femme and YEAH *o*

  • respected/admired by many kouhais for her caring nature and fun personality, as well as princely charm and work ethic. two of her biggest fans are oba mina and shimada haruka. tano yuka auditioned for AKB48 because of sae, who was a senior at the dance school she attended. other people include kitagawa ryoha, tsuzuki rika, tanaka natsumi, ueki nao, kumazawa serina, nonaka misato (who did Kiseki with sae/jurina on RH2013. was a sae oshi, tho she graduated in 2014), sato makiko,
  • at one point, there was the kenkyuusei had a fanclub for her. one of the members were nito moeno. myao too i think.
• grandmother and bullying
  • AKBINGO once had a segment titled “Hokkori Hanashi” (Touching Story) back in 2010, and Sae also spoke about her grandmother in the show.In this article, Sae talks about how she was bullied in middle school, and how her grandmother was her source of hope when she wanted to quit school. Her grandmother was always supportive of her, but never once did she praise her aboutAKB.

    Shortly after the death Sae‘s grandmother, Sae recieved a postcard from a family friend……

    This is a very emotional story about how parents (or grandparent in this case) support their child even though they never mention it.

• most important decision of her career (?!) – transferring to SNH48 and then leaving AKB48
  • (from Documentaries in Bukiyou Taiyou) Sae explicitly said her feelings to come back to AKB had completely disappeared. She didn’t want to be back in AKB. With SKE is completely different because it’s basically as if they’ve given her a chance to be “reborn”, in a completely different environment, with different people, different Teams, different motivations, ambitions, goals. She feels like she had none of them in AKB anymore, so basically, unless she could succeed in finding new source of motivation to stay…she would’ve just graduated. SKE gave her a new life. It’s all a matter of feelings, but trying to put in her shoes as much as one can might make it easier to understand, considering all her path in AKB, and how things changed in time, the Teams/members she loved not being there anymore etc…
  • (opinion) Also, please remember that K has always been run by Sae, from pretty much the start and even to a point when Sae was already the acting captain during the last months of K6. Making Yuko the successor of Sayaka might also made her feel bitter, you know. She tried – nolens volens – to make AKB her home again in her short kennin, but she just didn’t feel it and decided differently. We all hated that move, but in the end it was just the honest person being honest.
